What is better than hand-made function!

Here's what's happening at 4 Ravens Gallery:
Invitational Group Exhibition
Pour: Vessels of Flow and Function
August through September 2025
4 Ravens Gallery is pleased to present an invitational exhibition exploring the ceramic vessel as a conduit for movement and ritual. Pitchers, teapots, batter bowls, and other pouring forms are presented not only as utilitarian objects,
but as gestures in clay—carefully shaped to cradle, to channel, and to release.
We are featuring both 4 Ravens resident potters, including Lisa Ernst, Janet Whaley and Sarah Dargan,
and Montana Clay members including Tara Wilson, Heidi Haugen, and Cher Jiusto.
Each piece reflects the maker’s deep attention to balance, grip, and the arc of a pour.
Together, they reveal a quiet choreography—between liquid and form, hand and gravity, intention and action.
By focusing on vessels that pour, this collection draws us into the intimate moments of use: serving, measuring, sharing. It celebrates function as an invitation to engage and honors the humble yet profound act of pouring.
